I made a point to visit a couple of my childhood homes a couple of years ago.
The little house on the northside of Jacksonville, FL:

It's weird how small everything seems... and that the trees are so different... or bushes that are gone, or additions that were added. It seems wrong. Like every home I lived in should be preserved exactly the way it was when I was there.

Once while visiting in Durango, Co I went to see the old homestead. It was gone!
